No day but today

브로드웨이 뮤지컬 원작의 05년도작 영화 Rent를 이제서야 보았습니다. 국내에서도 이제 개봉했던가요? 워낙 유명한 뮤지컬이어서 큰 기대를 하고 보았더랬습니다. 확실히 음악적인 완성도는 훌륭하더군요. 무대 버전과 영화 버전을 비교하는 일은 별 의미가 없을 것 같습니다. 음악 좋아하시는 분들은 꼭 보시라고 추천해드리고 싶네요. 원래 오페라 La boheme을 원작으로 만든 뮤지컬이죠? 홍혜경이 공연하는 라보헴도 봤건만 완전히 서로 다른 작품인 것만 같습니다.

훌륭한 곡이 많은데 가장 마음 속에 꽂히는 한 곡 링크 걸어봅니다. No day but today라는 가사가 귀에 처음 들어오는 이 곡은 원래 제목이 Another day인지도 모르겠습니다. 아래 동영상은 영화의 가장 마지막을 장식하는 Finale B라는 제목이라더군요(곡의 주제는 동일하지요).

Youtube에서 이 동영상을 보고 누군가가 올린 커멘트입니다. "thank god this moment's not the last" 마음 속에 와닿는 가사라는 것이지요. 정말 그렇습니다.
